Show Beta Nu Beta Nu chapter of Beta Sigma Phi held their regular meeting March 15 at the home of Glenda Smarr. The chapter's president. Gwen Rambo, conducted the business meeting. Nine members were present and three guests, Darlene Ryan, Rosemary Pike and Denise Nealey. The Ways and Means committee reported that there will be room for 80 booths at the Country Fair May 15. The proceeds will benefit the Uintah County Library and Sister Elaine Pacheco's community works. The chapter would like to invite all local people who have an art. craft or hobby, to rent a booth by calling Glenda at 789-0813. Liz Carry, who is a physician's assistant for Dr. Parker Davies, attended at-tended the meeting as a guest speaker. Following a demonstration on how to help a choking victim, all members signed up for CPR training. The ladies also sampled baklava and slated their April 5 meeting to be a catered dinner meeting by Season's Catering Service. Congratulations go to member Becy Rawls and husband, Tar, on the birth of their daughter. The next meeting will be a model meeting and film presentation at the Uintah County Library on Monday, March 22. |
