Show Jensen I Vera Snow I Phone 789-0628 J Allreds move to Vernal Mr. and Mrs. John Allred have disposed of their home and real estate on Brush Creek and moved to Vernal. They recently returned from a trip to northern Idaho and Montana and reported having seen lots of beautiful country. The Allreds will really be missed in our community. A. DeMar and Lyn Dudley received word of the death of their brother-in-law Alton Peterson, Myrtle's husband, of Henderson, Nev. DeMar and Lyn went by plane to be with their sister and attend the funeral. Their brother Howard of Arlington, Va., planned to be there, also. The Newell Snows and the Meril Snows traveled to Meeker, Colo, to help celebrate the birthday of Jennie S. Mer-riam. Mer-riam. Mr. and Mrs. Minfred Beard presented a most interesting program at the Historical Society meeting Saturday Satur-day afternoon. A film showing their activities ac-tivities as stockmen on Blue Mountain was first presented, then the film of their African safari was shown. A large crowd was in attendance. About twelve were from Jensen. After the meeting, all Blue Mountain stockmen were asked to meet with the Beards by their pickup and pictures were taken. Wade Slaugh celebrated his birthday March 9 first with his family, then as guests of his parents, the Hy Slaughs. He and Sylvia "went out" for dinner in Vernal. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Turner celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary by traveling to Salt Lake City to be with Gertrude's sister Bernice and her husband. hus-band. The Turners and the Coxs were married the same day, March 10, 1938, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They did a temple session together this year in commeration. Bart and Jolene Snow made a trip to Salt Lake City to keep a medical appointment. ap-pointment. Mrs. George (Rose) Murray is now at home after having had surgery at St. Marks Hospital. Mrs. Jon (Marie) Nelson, her three children David, Dan-el and Katherine, and her father Nonis Harrison visited in the Ross Snow home Saturday evening. even-ing. Hoyle Robinson is reported doing real well after having had hip surgery last week. His wife Rose spent most of the week at his bedside in St. Marks Hospital. Lola Peterson spent a few days in the Roosevelt Hospital. The Wm. Turners received word of the birth of a little grandson John Carl born March 12 in San Jose, Calif. The proud parents are Mr. and Mrs. Carl Turner. Mr. and Mrs. Wade Slaugh traveled to Provo Friday, stayed overnight, and returned home Saturday, attended the temple Friday and kept their High Council Temple appointment Saturday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Dudley traveled to Salt Lake City Sunday. Mervin had nasal surgery Monday. Ila Carson is a patient in the hospital in Vernal. Addie Snow's parents, the Allen Gardners, spent Friday and Saturday at the Gawain Snows enroute from Denver to Mendon, Utah. Mrs. Deloris Stephenson stayed overnight over-night with her daughter Kathy Snow while Dale was in Grand Junction. Visitors at the Dale Snows during the weekend were the Darius Burkes of Denver, their sons Kevin and Todd who are attending BYU and Michael Burke who has just returned from a two year LDS mission. The Lyn Morrills made a trip to Provo. |
