I think you would be very foolish to incorporate incor-porate into a city for the following reasons: You would not gain a thing that you don't already enjoy. The county coun-ty furnishes all the services that you are wanting to assume yourselves, and you would still have to pay the same county taxes. In the fact shoot you put out, you showed sales tax as $600,000; however, it will be a great deal less than this because last year the county collected a total of $539,000 in sales taxes from all sources, and the industrial area you plan on incorporating into your city would only contribute a fraction of this amount. Also, Federal revenue sharing is a thing of the past. The expenses you project are much too low. When the spring thaw breaks up your roads you will need several trucks and other asphalt equipment to repair your streets, and you will have to pay the county for the asphalt, and as the years go by. these roads will need to bo rebuilt, and this typo of work does not come cheap. With the influx of good responsible people coming in, there will also be an influx of undesirables, such as dope ad diets, muggers, burglars, and pan handlers. If your city isn't fully protected, pro-tected, they soon learn this and that is where they will center their activities-For activities-For your information. Vernal City s police budget is $370,000. and your ot will be widespread so will be harder patrol. Your fact shoot also says that Vernal City wouldn't have anything todow your toning -but Vernal City A" have anything to do with it now.
