Show PUBLIC NOTICE AVAILABILITY OF THE DETAILED DEVELOPMENT PLAN FEDERAL PROTOTYPE OIL SHALE TRACTS U-a and U-b and PUBLIC HEARINGS FOR THIS PLAN Notice is hereby given of the availability of the Detailed Development Plan for Federal Prototype Pro-totype Oil Shale Tracts. U-a and U-b, and public hearings regarding this Plan to be held in October 1981. The Plan was submitted sub-mitted to the USGS Deputy Depu-ty Conservation Manager-Oil Shale on September 1, 1981, by the lessees, Sunoco Energy Development Company and Phillips Petroleum Company, pursuant to Federal Lease U-25918 (U-a), and SohioShale Oil Company, pursuant to Federal Lease U-26194 (U-b). Tracts U-a and U-b are located in Uintah County, Utah, approximately 42 miles southeast of the City Ci-ty of Vernal. Each of the tracts encompasses 5,120 acres defined by the following boundaries. Tract U-a T.10S, R24E, SLM Sec. 19, E'2; Sec. 20, all: Sec. 21, all; Sec. 22, all; Sec. 27, all; Sec. 29, all; Sec. 30, EN; Sec. 33. N'2; Sec. 34. N'-j. Tract U-b T.10S. R24E, SLM Sec. 12, S'2, S4 N'2; Sec. 13, all; Sec. 14, all; Sec. 23. all; Sec. 24. all; Sec. 25. W'- W',.; Sec. 26, all T.10S, R.25E, SLM Sec. 18, all; Sec. 19. all. The Plan describes construction con-struction of a commercial oil shale mine and surface sur-face processing facility together with related service ser-vice corridors and critical environmental control programs.
