Show C Naples Jo Openshaw Phone 789-3157 Ray Jones visit from Phoenix Ray Jones of Phoenix, Ariz., brought his daughter to BYU at Provo and came to Vernal to visit his parents and family. Heber and Vera Harrison accompanied ac-companied him back to Phoenix where they visited the Jones family for several days. The Harrisons returned home via air. Mrs. Dorothy Jones is the Harrison's daughter. Jennifer Novinger who has spent a week with her grandparents, the Glen Reynolds and family, returned to her home in Fruita, Colo., Saturday with Kirk, Toni and Fred Reynolds. Stanley Peterson visited his grandmother, grand-mother, Reva Ruppe, Friday evening. Roger Merkley and Rebecca Call were married Sept. 11 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. A reception was held in their honor Sept. 12 in the Naples cultural hall. Gail Bentley entertained at a birthday bir-thday party Saturday afternoon in honor of her son, Chad's sixth birthday. The group enjoyed refreshments and went roller skating. Duayne and Arlene Call, Danny and Karen Call, Alwyn and Marilyn Call and son, Joe, and Michelle Call and baby and Edith Goodrich, all of Bountiful and Bruce and Roxanna Taylor and three children of Santy, and Mike and Ann Marie Call of Hyrum and Scott and Inez Collett of Provo, all visited at the Edna R. Call home and attended the reception for Mr. and Mrs. Roger Merkley. Jack and Viola Webb and daughter of Provo visited the Morris Cook family over the weekend. Jim and Connie Johnson and son of Ogden, and Elma Lawson of Roy, visited last weekend with Asael and Ellen Haws. Ross and Nelma Merrell went to Provo last Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Cleve Karren came from Denver, Colo., to get their children who have been visiting at the Kermit Harrison home. Mrs. Karren and the children went to their home in . Tuscon, Ariz., and Mr. Karren went back to Denver where he is employed. Janeen Cook of Duchesne visited over the weekend with her parents, Morris and Norda Cook and family. Marilyn Merrell was hostess at a baby shower for Mrs. Emil Baker, and. , new son Saturday at the Merrell home. Connie Mott and her sister had a surprise birthday party Saturday for their mother, Venna Warden's 70th birthday. Trisha Southam returned from Provo last Monday. Willis and Carol Southam went to Roosevelt on business Thursday. Phillip and Ella Manwaring, Willis and Carol Southam and Elva Man-waring Man-waring attended the wedding reception of Lewis and Michells Roberts at Roosevelt Friday night. The Venture and Mia Maid classes of Naples 1st ward had a party at the ball park Saturday evening. Robert and Teresa Kay and children, Kolby and Linzi, went to Salt Lake City for the weekend. |
