GRAND CHAMPION STEER was awarded to Dennis Vincent for his 1,098 pound animal. The steer was purchased by Jim Drollinger and Larsen Caldwell for $2.20 a pound. Dennis is a 4-H member from Jensen. Fitting, showing and judging climaxed during the Junior Livestock's 44th Annual Sale during Friday's award banquet. Grand Champion in the Fat Beef Class was awarded to Dennis Vincent, 4-H member from Jensen for his 1.098-pound 1.098-pound steer. It sold to Basin State Bank for $2.20 a pound. Reserve Champion in the Fat Beef Class went to Greg Houston. 4-H membef from Neola. The steer weighed 1.156 pounds and was purchased pur-chased by Dave Jolley. Searle Gas and Diamond Hills for 85 cents a pound. The Chain Heifer Award was given to Gary Dudley. Since this program was started by First Security Bank, the award was presented to Gary by Vard Openshaw. Scott Hartle also received a Chain Heifer Award, given by the Livestock Show Committee. The l intah Cowbells presented in-dividu.il in-dividu.il awards for third. Kristiiu Harrison; fourth, Mary Shelton and fifth. Dennis Vincent in Fat Beef. The Grand Champion Lamb Award was given to Brent Morrill Jensen 4 11 member. His 119 pound lamb was purchased by Dave Jolley. Searle Gas and Diamond Hills at $9 a pound The Reserve Champion I-amb award went toDena Moon. FFA member from Jensen. Her lamb was purchased by Basin Slate Bank for S7 a pound. It weighed 119 pounds. Ix-hi 4-H member, won the Grand Champion Fat Hog Award The hog was purchased by First Interstate In-terstate Bank for $4 75 a pound The Reserve Champion Fat Hog was purchased by Dave Jolley. Searle Gas and Diamond Hills for $:! .75 a pound It was owned by Teresa Snow, Jensen 4 H member and weighed 228 pounds. In Senior Judging Contest, golf medallioas for the nine highest scores were given to Steve Harrison, Dena Moon. Sally Arnold, Billy Olsen. Tralynne Ruppe, Shauna Pipher, Alec Clark. Neil Fedelleck and Shelly Wall In the Junior Judging Contest silver medallioas were given toTonja Morrill. Kim Arnold. Kyle Ruppe. Brain Snow, Shane Frost, Suzanne Slaugh, Tracy Moon, Garrett Olsen and Joclle Oviatt. Over 80 Vernal merchants and individuals in-dividuals donated items as awards during the Livestock Show in which 223 animals were entered. Total sales of the show were $79,227. Those eligible to attend the Denver Livestock Show are Billy Olsen, Tralynne Ruppe, Kristina Harrison, Alec Clar, Joe Newell, Dale Fedelleck and FFA members Steven Harrison, Dena Moon, Neil Fedelleck, Shelly Wall, Dave Snow and Slaci Wardle. Sunset Sporting Goods awarded a $10 . gift certificate to Brent Morrill, third and Justin Tanner, fourth in Fat Lambs. The Wool Growers Association awarded gold medallions for 5th to lllh place in Fat Lamb: Grog Snow. Tonja Morrill, Randy Smuin, Marci McNeill, Greg Snow, Vicki Snow and Justin Tanner. 7 11 Cafe awarded a free dinner for .trd to (ilh places in Fat Swine: Brian Snow, Jcanie Gross, Ken llaslem and Soni Marshall.
