Show Art teacher paintings at library display The poetry and paintings of Bonnie Behunin will be displayed at the Uintah County Library until the first week in July. Six of the poems, illustrated by paintings, pain-tings, were winners at the Utah State Fair and several were published in the Uintah Poetry Society's publication "Extending." Most of the paintings are water color paintings of flowers, which Mrs. Behunin says is her speciality, and caricatures of her friends. "I would like to invite my friends and students to a reception next Monday," Mrs. Behunin said. The reception will be Monday, June 15, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the library. Cookies and punch will be served. Mrs. Behunin said that many of her paintings on display were inspired by her poetry, and some were used to instruct in-struct her students. She has taught art at the Vernal Junior High since 1974. She received most of her formal art training at BYU, but much of her training was self-taught. self-taught.
