Show Ballard I Telintha Rasrjnussen B Clyde Collins attend graduation Shauna, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Collins, graduated from the Utah State University. Her parents were there last Friday to see her graduate. Shauna majored in secretarial work. She is staying in Logan this summer where she will be working. Terry Hall and daughter went to visit her father and family, Jerry Harris and Carolyn, his wife, and their two daughters, Angi and Gigi. Terry also met her paternal grandmother, Helen Hurt, for the first time. They live in Shreveport, Louisiana.: Mr. and Mrs. Verdon Heaton were in Salt Lake City for three days over the weekend to attend Miss Teen Utah Pageant held at the Hotel Utah. Their daughter, Tina, participated. She won Miss Hospitality, also a jacket for selling the most advertising. Sunday they attended their church meetings in the 11th ward in Kearns, where they used to live. The oil well on the Jr. Jenkins place is drilled. An oil well just north of US 40 on the Snow place is completed. Bow Valley Oil Co. will soon start an oil well south of Union High. They are building a road to the site now. Teton Energy Oil Co. is preparing a site on the section just east of the section where John Tryon lives and just north of this section sec-tion across US 40 another site is being prepared. Mr. and Mrs. William McMullin have moved from the Rasmussen home here in Ballard to their new home on Indian Bench. Harry and Kathy Cieslack have moved into the Rasmussen home. The Cieslacks have been living in North Ballard. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Kettle have a new daughter born April 20 in the Duchesne County Hospital. She weighed 6 lbs 8 oz. and was named Kimberly May. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Lester Kettle, who live in Hartford and Mr. and Mrs. J. 0. O'Driscoll. Great grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Bill .Hayes of Duchesne. Ethel Flemming of Cleveland, Ohio is spending a week here with Beatrice Lundberg. She is a convert to the LDS Church. Beatrice converted her while on her mission. Annette Mitchell and children are home for a week with her parents, the Dale Nelsons. Annette lives in Colorado Springs. The first open house held in the Ballard City building was held Friday, June 5. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon R. Unruh were the honored ones. They were married at his parents home, the Milford Unruhs, thesame day by Judge John Gale. The Unruhs came here from Wichita, Kansas to be married and will return there to live. All the Unruhs were here for the occasion except their daughter who lives in Arizona, but her 17-year-old son came. Dannie, son of Mr. and Mrs. Grant BetLs, and Danell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Clements, will be married Saturday, June 12. A reception will be held that evening honoring them in the Roosevelt Stake Center, 447 East Lagoon Street. |
