Show Bobcat permits Permits for hunting or trapping bobcats must be purchased no later than November 14. The bobcat season has been set for December 13, 1980 to January 31, 1981. The limit is four bobcats. The cost of a bobcat permit is $25. This entitles en-titles a permit holder to four possession tags and the first metal tag when a bobcat pelt is brought to a Division office. (For trading and selling purposes, pur-poses, all bobcat pelts must be affixed with a permanent metal tag at a Division office.) A fee of $25 will be charged for each of the three additional addi-tional metal tags. Therefore the total cost for harvesting a limit of four bobcats is $100. A small game or trapping license must also be purchased, pur-chased, depending on the method used in taking the -bobcats. Last year, a total of 1,593 bobcats were harvested in Utah. With the price of bobcat pelts averaging $220, this places a total value for Utah's 1979-80 bobcat harvest at over $350,000. |
