Phone 789-3150 9 David Hall goes buffalo hunting David Hall and his son, Mark from Springville, Utah, are hunting buffalo on the Henry Mountains in Garfield County near Utah's newest town, Ticaboo. Susan Ross from Decatur, 111., graduate of BYU is a third grade teacher at the Maeser Elementary School. She will be living at the home of Rosalie Burton for the school year. Mrs. Glen (Joan DeJournette) Hatch from Orem visited her mother Rosalie Burton last week. Mrs. Hatch is presently owner-operator of the Subway Sub-way Cafe on Main St. in Salt Lake City. Dorene Deardorff from Lapoint, visited last week with her sister, Vicky Reed at Dry Fork Canyon. Valena Merkley is the grandmother of a son born to Carl and Kathy Mc-Conkie, Mc-Conkie, Oct. 23 at the Uintah County Hospital weighing 8 lb. and 9 oz., his name will be Jacob Aral. Other grandparents grand-parents are Aral and Elaine Allred of Dillon, Mont., great grandmother is Fern Allred, Neola. Evertt and Norma Alexander, Salt Lake City, are new residents of Maeser living in the house west of David and Lorna Condon. The Alexanders will be remembered by many as having grown up in the area. Evertt was a businessman in Vernal in the'30's. Sam and Linda Contreall and family are the new owners of the Gary Winn home. Bonnie Winn and children have moved to Salt Lake City. Clif and Cyd Basengaue have moved to Evanston, Wyo.. Clif was transferred and Cyd will be an RN at the Sweetwater Sweet-water County Hospital. Walter and Lorie Ames have a son born at the Uintah County Hospital, Oct. 31, weighing 7 lbs. 12 oz. His name will be Jonathon Walter. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Putter, Tooele and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Ames of Roosevelt. Great grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baun, Buffalo, NY., Mr. and Mrs. Michael Putter, Tuscon, Ariz., and Fred Farnsworth of Arizona. Charles and June Leach from Gridley, Calif., visited a week at the homes of Jay Var and Marcia Leach Campbell and grandchildren Shrene, Brad and Jard. Grant and Mildred Hacking returned home Tues., Oct. 28, from a vacation trip that took them toT'acoma, Wash. While there they visited witn their son and family, the Douglas Hackings. Hack-ings. They visited with the Jim Ely family and toured the new Seattle LDS Temple. Eleanore Scott and children, Craig and Marilyn met them at Tocama, and accompanied them to Trinty Center, Calif. Mrs. Glen (Marlene) McKee and daughter, LaDonna, made a trip to El Paso, Texas last weekend where they visited with Frances and Betty Bowden. The Bowdens son, Arlin had just returned home from an LDS mission mis-sion in Louisiana. Mrs. McKee attended the meeting where Arlin reported his mission to his ward. Maralae Beckstead, her mother Blanch Smith, as well as Mrs. Becksteads daughter Shirlene and cousin Delene Jenkins spent Sun., Nov. 2, with the Lorin Fawsett family in Henefer, Utah. Dean and Clifta Johnson became grandparents to Randy and Tamara (Johnson) Vincent's son born Oct. 20 at the Uintah County Hospital. Paternal grandparents are Lewis and Lola Mae Vincent of Jensen; great grandmother is Chloe Johnson of Deep Creek, Utah. He will be named Randan J. Jeff McClellan, son of Larry and Abegglen will report his Caracas Venezuela LDS mission to Maeser Second Se-cond Ward Sun., Nov. 9 at 12:20 p.m. |
