Mr. and Mrs. Dick Einerson and baby, Amber, from Blanding were here over the weekend visiting his parents, the Blaine Einersons. Mr. and Mrs. Clarance Rich have a new daughter, born at the Duchesne County Hospital February 22. She weighed 7 lbs. 3 oz. and will be named Amy Dee. Grandparents are Mrs. Thelma Rich Cook of Vernal and Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Rasmussen. Beatrice Youney and children of Salt Lake City spent the weekend here with her mother, Beatrice Lundberg. Clarence Rich is working fast to get his basement ready for the home that will soon be here to set on the basement. This home will be located just south of the Ballard Ward Church on the west side of the road. When completed it will be for rent. Mr. and Mrs. Kitchen are inviting everyone to their wedding dance Friday Fri-day February 29 at the Vernal Golden Age Center. The new schedules for Ballard Wards church services are as follows: North Ballard - Priesthood, Relief Society, Young Women's Mutual, Primary will start at 9 a.m. and close at 9:50 a.m. Sunday School will start at 10 a.m. and be out at 10:40 a.m. Sacrament Meeting will start at 10:50 a.m. and close at 12 noon. Ballard Ward - Priesthood, Relief Society, Young Women's Mutual and Primary will be at 1 p.m. and close at 1:50 p.m.; Sunday School will start at 2 p.m. and close at 2:40 p.m. and Sacrament Sacra-ment Meeting will start at 2:50 p.m. and close at 4 p.m. There will not be any opening exercises for the Sunday School classes, just go straight to your classrooms. There will be a nursery for children from 18 months to 3 years during dur-ing Relief Society. The Ballard Ward Boy Scouts put on the program for Sacrament Meeting last Sunday. Sixteen boys participated. Mary Ellen Kettle and Mary Ann Par-rish Par-rish are den mothers. Keith Parrish -cub master and Mark Kettle is I.R. representative. John Gardner, son of Earl Gardner, will be graduating from West Minister Police Academy in Salt Lake City next Friday, February 29. John will be working here with the police force in the Roosevelt area. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cieslack of Salt Lake City have moved into the Thad Steinfeldt home here in Ballard. The Steinfieldts have moved to southern Utah. |
