Vandalism to LDS Seminary building stops use for two days Vandalism inside the Vernal LDS nior Seminary building sometime lween6p.m. Feb. 20 and 6 a.m. Feb. caused over $5,000 in damages, fording to Vernal Police. According to Police Chief Jonathan les someone entered through a rear ndow and orange spray-painted iry room in the Seminary building, ray paint covered walls, light itches, thermostats, clocks, all office achines, audio-visual equipment, bles, chairs, restrooms closets, mo, blackboards, fireplace and even lide a refrigerator. Desk drawers were pulled out and iptied on the floor and class record es were scattered through the ilding. Inside doors, which were locked, were sprung open tearing off the molding. The Seminary building is located across from the Uintah High School. The outside doors were not damaged, being locked with dead-bolt locks. ' ' ' Seminary students attended classes in the Ashley Stake Center building Thursday and Friday. Investigation is continuing and according ac-cording to Chief Jones a suspect is being questioned. ' Students worked after school and into the night during the weekend to clean the damage so classes could resume in the building Monday. i -.... I.
