Show SKIN MORE SENSITIVE THAN YOUR FEELINGS Most people associate the word "sensitive ' with feelings. feel-ings. When it comes to your skin, however, the word "sensitive" assumes a new meaning. According to Dr. Peter Hebborn, Vice-President of Research & Development for Owen Laboratories, manufacturers of Allercreme Hypoallergen-ic Hypoallergen-ic Cosmetics, many women, at sometime in their lives, experience a cosmetic sensitivity, sensi-tivity, but fail to recognize the problem. Does your skin feel itchy? You could be sensitive sensi-tive to the soap you are using. Does the moisturizing lotion you use cause a stinging sting-ing sensation after you've applied it? You may be experiencing a sensitization reaction to that particular treatment product. "These reactions are not uncommon" explains Dr. Hebborn. "In fact, several sev-eral different ingredients in cosmetic formulations have been proven to cause reactions re-actions in different people. Most common of these sensitizing ingredients are fragrances and frequently lanolin. Use of a product, such as Allercreme's Special Formula Dry Skin Lotion, can help eliminate these types of reactions, because the product does not contain con-tain either lanolin or fragrance. It's gentle and soothes and comforts dry skin without creating irritation." |
