Steamboat Springs' Joe Ramunno captured first place in the 185 pound class when he pinned Fort Lupton's Mark Muse in the second round. Frank Woodburn of Palisade placed fourth at 112 pounds when he was blanked by Garcia of Rocky Ford, 9-0. J.D. Adams of Steamboat Springs placed fourth when he was decisioned by Davy, Rocky Ford, 4-2, in the 167 pound class. 98 pounder Lent of Palisade was nipped by Snow of Buena Vista, 5-4, in the battle for fifth place. Barber, Steamboat Steam-boat Springs, nabbed sixth when he was blanked by Vigil of Centauri in overtime, over-time, 1-0. Norm Look of Steamboat Springs garnered fifth place when he pinned Erzen of Erie in the second round. Meeker pocketed the district tournament tour-nament title with 1951-! points. Steamboat Springs placed second at 161 'A points, and Rifle pocketed third place with 13U4 points.
