Show Paul Sheffield Paul Sheffield I Named to Post With U DOT Blaine J. Kay, Utah Transportation Trans-portation Director, Friday named Paul W. Sheffield as Community Relations Director for the Utah Department of Transportation. He replaces Steve Lawson who left the g position last July to accept I other employment. 1 Mr. Sheffield, 30, has i served as Administrative As- B sistant for Press Relations for B Governor Rampton since 1973. From 1971 to 1973 he was a reporter, photographer and producer for KSL-TV News. Prior to that he served as a reporter for Associated Press in Boise, Idaho. Mr. Sheffield was educated in Davis County Public schools and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism from the University of Utah in 1970. "1 am very pleased to have Mr. Sheffield join our staff." Director Kay said, "Having observed Mr. Sheffield's performance per-formance in the Governor's Office first hand and having reviewed his professional experience ex-perience and accomplishments I am confident that he will do an outstanding job in this position. Both Governor Rampton and Governor-elect I Scott Matheson are very pleased with this appointment and feel Mr. Sheffield is well qualified to assume these important responsibilities." In responding to an an-anouncement an-anouncement of his appointment appoint-ment Mr. Sheffield said,' "I will look forward to working wit the UDOT. My experience with this organization in the past has been very positive and I will enjoy helping them in their goal to promote better public understanding and to I involve the public more in the development of their programs and policies. Mr. Sheffield resides in Bountiful, Utah with his wife Mary Anne and their daughter Kristen. |
