Show Moab 4-H Club J News Notes I -v. -v- - -v -m -m The 4-H Riding Club which meets every Monday at 7:00 p.m. at the home of Mrs. John Krist in Spanish Valley, has planned many activities for the forthcoming year. In December, they are planning a Christmas party and they will also be riding horses in the Christmas Parade on Dec. 4. Each Monday the club discusses the 4-H handbook which they have been studying in order to help them learn new techniques, or improve upon things they are already doing. The club is already looking ahead to August when the 4-H Regional Horse Show will be held in Moab. There will be a 13 and under division added this year, but it is expected that their participation will be regional only. As far as the club knows now, 13 yr. olds and under will be ineligible to go to the State competition. ' The club would like to invite any interested persons to join them at their next meeting. For further information, contact con-tact Mrs. Swasey at 259-5461. 4-H LIVESTOCK NEWS On November 27 at 7:00 p.m. at Melanie Dowley's house there was a monthly meeting for the livestock members. There will be 13 members with livestock animals. ani-mals. There will be a Christmas skating party December 17, on Friday. After the party the Tibbetts' will host the members. mem-bers. Dues must be paid before December 17. The dues will cost $3.50. Each member should have sponsors for their livestock projects. The time and day was talked about for the show and sale. The next beef meeting will be Monday, December 27, at 7:00 p.m. at the Krist home. |
