Show Police Investigate Accidents Three accidents were reported re-ported in the area this week by Moab police, including one hit and run. Sometime between be-tween 8:00 and 11:00 p.m. August 17, a 1972 Gremlin parked at Walnut Lane Market Mar-ket Place, Space 3, was hit from behind by an unidentified unidentifi-ed car. The Gremlin, owned by Velda and Beverly Green, received $400 damage. Also on August 17 at 6:30 p.m on highway 163 about 300 feet from Kane Creek Blvd., Kenneth Karol Jennings driving driv-ing a 1975 Toyota, was waiting wait-ing to make a left turn when he was struck from the rear by Fred Newman driving a 1966 vehicle. Fred Newman was cited for improper lookout look-out and drunk driving. On August 19, at 2:10 p.m., an accident involving a 1976 Subaru and a 1973 Volkswagen Volkswag-en occurred on 500 West and 577 North. Isaac A. White-horn, White-horn, driving a Volkswagen, was making a left turn when James Weisenberger, driving a Subaru owned by Debbie Weisenberger, attempted to pass, causing $200 damage to the Subaru and $200 to the Volkswagen. Weisenberger was cited with improper lane usage and passing. |
