Show San Rafael study being undertaken The Resources Development Develop-ment Internship Program, Boulder, Colorado has announced an-nounced the appointment of DeeAnne Finken to a summer internship with the Bureau of Land Management in Price, Utah. Ms. Finken will be working with Robert Barry, Outdoor Recreation Planner and Samuel R. Rowley, Area Manager in researching the history of the San Rafael Swell. Ms. Finken will be one of 200 Resources Development student-interns who will be working throughout the 13 western states this summer in community service projects in economic development, health services, environmental problems, prob-lems, the humanities, and several other areas. The purpose of the Resources Resour-ces Development Internship Program is to bring community commun-ity service organizations together to-gether with institutions of higher education and their students in the West for the benefit of all. To the organizations, organiza-tions, the intern program provides the problem solving talents of student manpower, while providing the student with relevant field experience. experi-ence. The Resources Development Develop-ment Internship Program is administeered by the Western West-ern Interstate Commission for Higher Education. WICHE is a public agency which helps the 13 Western states work together to increase educational educa-tional opportunities for western west-ern youth, to improve programs pro-grams of universities and colleges, to expand the supply of specialized manpower, and to inform the public of higher education needs. |
