Show San Juan bids received on leases High bids j totaling $84,616.71 werp received Wednesday by the Bureau of Land Management for oil and gas leases on 3,025 acres in San Juan County. According to Paul L. Howard, How-ard, BLM Utah state director, ten parcels of land from 40 to 640 acres in size were offered for lease with 21 bids received on nine of the 10 parcels. The parcels are within the known geologic structures of Bluff and Aneth Field Recapture Creek Field and undefined fields in the county. Highest bid per acre on a parcel was $267.l'2'j by Reed Gilmore of Kimball, Neb., on 120 acres for aj total bid of $32,055.00. Other apparent high bidders were: Robert G; Pruitt Jr., Salt Lake City, $21.36 per acre for a total bid of $8,54.40; Husky Oil Co., Denver, CO, $33 and $13,463.01;Bass Enterprises Production Co., Fort Worth, Texas (mir parcels); and Jack J. Grynberg, Denver, CO (two pefcels). Bass Enterprises bid $37.96, $17.29 (on two parcels) and $5.96 per acre for total bids of $36,331.10. Mr. Gryn-berg Gryn-berg bid $2.37 and $2.77 per acre for a total of $1,913.20. Mr. Howard noted that, in ' addition to the amount bid, i successful bidders will pay i rental for use of the land and 1 royalties on any oil and gas i extracted. |
