Show : Mew drilling scheduled in Grand County fields The Anschutz Corporation. Denver, kis announced locations for four more tea wells to be drilled in Grand County, teeing its total to nine wells scheduled k drilling in the area, reports Carlton Stowe, Department of Natural Resourc-a Resourc-a minerals specialist. AnschuU is to fra the No. l-Sute-460, a 9.210 foot test i tie Entrada sandstone formation in tie Roan Cliffs area some 15 miles west i the Utah-Colorado state line. The remote wildcat well is two and three quarters miles west of a gas well in the Horse Point area. About seven miles to the west, Anschutz will drill the No. 1 State 915, a deep projected 10,500 foot test. It is in the Moon Ridge area southeast of a Dakota formation gas well. And, a half dozen miles to the southwest in the Segundo Canyon region, re-gion, Anschutz says it will drill two wells.. .both to about 9,800 feet...at the No. 1 State-404 and the 1 State-920. Earlier, Anschutz reported locations for five Morrison formation test wells scheduled to depths of 4,000 to 4,600 feet, all north of Cisco and west of Harley Dome area. Mr. Stowe also notes that the Juab County deep wildcat well being drilled by Dixel Resources is at a depth of 10,000 feet. It is the No. 1 Gunnison-State, Gunnison-State, a scheduled 18,000 foot test of the Mississippian formation some 18 miles south of Nephi. In Sanpete County, south of Moroni and southvest of Mount Pleasant. Hanson Oil is drilling at 13,500 feet at the 1 A-X Moroni, a scheduled 20,000 foot weU where the Navajo sandstone formation is projected for testing. It is 20 miles west-southwest of closest production in the Clear Creek Geld. In Summit County, sixteen miles east of Pineview Geld on the northern slopes of the Wasatch National Forest, just east of highway No. 150, Quintana Petroleum Corporation is drilling below 6,400 feet at the No. 20-1 Burt, a projected 11,500 foot Madison formation test. |
