Show Police -Sheriff Quarrel Draws State Review Following a request from both the Grand County Sheriff's Sher-iff's Department and the Moab Citye Polic Department, Depart-ment, the office of the State Attorney General has had an investigator in Moba this week to listen to charges and counter-charges brought by the departments, according accord-ing to Robert Hanson, deputy Attorney General. Problems between the two departments have been in existance for several years and recently have reached a point which is unbearable to both offices, thus the investigation, investi-gation, Mr. Hanson told The Times-Independent Wednesday. Wednes-day. Wednesday, both Sheriff W. H. Bowman and Police Chief Melvin S. Dalton agreed to undergo polygraph tests in Price to attempt to clear the situation. Results of the testa and of the investigation have not been made public, although al-though the Attorney General's Gener-al's office indicated that a statement would be forthcoming forthcom-ing in the near future. |
