Show Two Accidents Listed by Moab Police City Police officers listed two minor accidents and one incident of vandalism over the past week, according ta Police Chief Melvin S. Dalton. On June 1, at 12:05 p.m. on the corner of Second North and Main, Catherine Cooloy driving a 1965 Dodge pickup, failed to see a road grader driven by Bob Westwood. As she crossed the intersection, the grader struck the pickup broadside and completely demolished de-molished the truck. Catherine Cooley was cited for failure to yield the right of way. She was treated at Allen Memorial Memor-ial Hospital for minor cuts and bruises as was a passenger passen-ger in the car, Melody Leonard. Leon-ard. An accident on June 5, at the Post Office parking lot occurred when Alan West, driving a 1959 Ford was backing out and hit a 1970 Chevrolet driven by Gayle Dalton. $150 damage was listed list-ed to the Dalton auto and v75 to the Ford. No citations were issued since the accident acci-dent occurred on private property. pro-perty. Nearly $1,000 worth of rose bushes and lilacs were destroyed des-troyed at the home of David Baker on Mill Creek Drive early Monday .morning. The bushes were pulled from the ground and a large number of the plants were taken from he premises. Anyone who might have seen the act of vandalism while driving by on that night is asked to contact the City Police. |
