Show New officers hosted membership tea The newly-elected officers of-ficers of the Women's Literary Club were hostesses hos-tesses at the annual Fall membership tea held at the Senior Citizen Build- ing last Saturday. A selection of Gay 90's songs was presented pre-sented by Grand County High School Senior Margie Mar-gie Snyder, accompanied by Doreen Crossland. A program of classic piano pieces was also presented by June Latham. Ann Pool, District President of the Utah Federation of Women's Clubs, gave a talk on the meaning and 1 purposes of the Federa- 1 tion, including a discus- sion of the Federation theme, "unity and diver- , sity." A slide show was presented by Rotary Ex- ' change student Erika ' Jooste from South Africa. 1 The tea closed with the 1 formal installation of new officers including President Presi-dent Jen Pope, Vice-President Vice-President Carol Hines, Secretary Flora Evans, Treasurer Rosalie Robertson, Robert-son, Auditor Mildred Claus, Historian Ann Pool, Public Affairs, Juan-ita Juan-ita Wiseman, Education ' Palma Jacobs, Home Life, ' Cedelaide Baowich, Inter- ' national Affairs, Esther 1 Balla, Arts, Gwyn Meador 1 and Conservation, Marian i Peterson. , Mrs. Pope announced ( committee assignments, which will be added to as the membership drive is completed. The Club holds regular meetings on the first Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. and the third Saturday of each month at 2 p.m. at the Senior Citizen Building. All interested in-terested Moab women are invited to attend the next Saturday meeting. |
