Show Grjen ' " A Letter from Pearl, lona ar&ar37 by Pearl Baker Will Attend Ordination Mrs. Edith Gardner will join Dr. Barton in Salt Lake City, and they will fly back to Weston, Mass. for Bill Mobley's ordination as a priest. In spite of a heart attack, at-tack, Bill is finishing his studies a few months early, but will not be assigned to a parish until un-til spring. Teaching Position Miss Jann Silliman will teach in the Jordan Jor-dan district in Salt Lake City this coming year. She taught three years in Longview, Washington, Washing-ton, then moved home last spring, saying she wanted to come back to Utah. Jann teaches special reading in the 2nd and 4th grades. She is glad to be back at work in her field, and has moved to Salt Lake City for the winter. Baby Shower Mrs. Gene Dunham, Mrs. Stan Hart and Mrs. Charles Winters entertained enter-tained at the Dunhams for a baby shower for Mrs. Dean Jewkes on Thursday evening. Twenty four ladies attended at-tended the event, and Jacquie received some lovely gifts. The gifts were presented in an antique, an-tique, handmade cradle, which has been in the Dunham family for six generations. Not only that, Jacquie is going to use the cradle for the baby, and Nancy Dunham barely got it to her in time on Saturday. Whits' Studio Whit's Studio will beat school on Friday to take Senior pictures "for those who missed the first setting set-ting or those who need re-takes. Damaged TV The school TV, damaged dam-aged when the roof was fixed at school, has been repaired by Mr. Glen Baxter and is back in operation. op-eration. Parent-Teacher Day The Parent-Teacher day held at school last Thursday was a very successful project with a record number of parents par-ents coming out to tour the school and to visit individual teachers. Halloween Carnival The Annual Halloween Carnival was termed a huge success by all who attended and participated. One of the largest crowds in the history of the fun affair turned out to parade par-ade in costume and to enjoy the good food and the games and booths offered of-fered by the classes. The Student Council was in charge of the evening this evening this year, and each class or club participating par-ticipating kept all of the money earned at their booths.
