Show Marijuana Case Heard in District Court Nov. 7 was the date set for the trial of William Wil-liam M. Kurpe, Ohio, in the Seventh Judicial District Dis-trict Court, on a charge of posession of marijuana mari-juana with intent to distribute dis-tribute the same without value. The defendant, represented repre-sented by Attorney Phil Hansen, entered a plea of guilty to the charge. The State was represented represen-ted by Attorney Harry Snow. The plea of the defendant made it unnecessary unne-cessary for a trial by jury. The previous charge made of the defendant de-fendant had been posession poses-sion of marijuana with intent to distribute the same for value. Judge Ed Sheya ordered ord-ered a pre-sentence report re-port before pronouncement pronounce-ment of judgement. The defendant was ordered to appear Dec. 3 at 10 a.m. in Price, Ut., for pronouncement of judge- ment. The penalty for the offense to which the defendant de-fendant pleaded guilty is two and a half years in the Utah State Prison, or a fine of $2,500 or both. |
