Show Nursing Home Issue Taken from Ballot Due to a legal technicality. technical-ity. Grand County voters will not be faced with a decision concerning thc-construction thc-construction of a County operated nursing home. The issue was to have been made in the form of a bond election on the November ballot. The legal notice which appeared in the Times last week was to have been published not less than 21 clays before the election, according to the resolution signed by the Grand County Coun-ty Commission. Last Thursday's Thurs-day's publication was, however, how-ever, only 20 days before the election day and th? bonding company refused to accept the publication as legal. County Clerk Barbara Domenick announced this week that the County Commission Com-mission had decided not to conduct a public opinion poll on the ballot and stated stat-ed that they would delay the bond election until such time as more details as to construction costs, site for construction and so forth can be worked out. The Commissioners did indicate, however, that I'Ue issue would be put before the public at a later lat-er date when these problems prob-lems can be satisfactorily answered. |
