Show Utah School People Return SALT LAKE CITY Twenty-four representatives representa-tives from the Intermoun-tain Intermoun-tain - West have just completed com-pleted a visit to the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. Individuals selected from Utah include: Chariton Chari-ton Jacobs, Layton; Lee PeMty, Vernal; Richard Beesley, Kanab; Don Gust and Diana Felt, Salt Lake City, Calvin Hansen, Moab. Keith Larson, Pleasant Grove and Allen Nielson, Orem. The trip, sponsored by the U. S. Army, was designed de-signed to inform high school guidance counsel, ore and news media representatives repre-sentatives about the program pro-gram and education offered offer-ed to the students of West Point. Individuals were able to talk with students from their respective stat-. es and to meet with officials offi-cials at the school to include in-clude the Superintendent of the Academy, Major General William Knowlton. Upon completion of their visit each participant was made an Honorary Admissions Admis-sions Officer of the United States Military Academy, signifying their knowledge of-the Academy and the type of young men, who are suited for Academy life. |
