Show Dear Editor, I am writing this letter hoping that enough people will have the opportunity to read and! judge for themselves them-selves and then be able to make a decision to do something some-thing about the worsening insect problem in this area. As you know, and as we all know, very little effort was made by the city or the county to cope with our bug piiobleim last year. Only with the cooperation and efforts of the people and organizations or-ganizations that control the property in this area are we going to be able to bring the insect problem down to a mtiniimi'in. The spray season begins in April. If there is going to be a legitimate effort made by the people responsible, respon-sible, (lie decision must be made by April, and a spraying spray-ing progi-Hiii- Initiated. 1 hope, as do many others, that we can get started on the right fool, this year. There are services available and the expense Is not an excessive one if each responsible res-ponsible party carries his share of the load. Many of the insects we have are germ and disease carriers, and as a result each of us should make every possible effort to do something about Hie problem we are fading. We owe it to ourselves our-selves and those around us. iAIso, I miiglit add this. Many people think that one application of spray Is sufficient. suf-ficient. It does help, but so does pouring alcohol or some olher disinfectant on nn infected wound Only by following up the Initial treatment with successive applications can we minimize minim-ize this crawling, chewing, flying and biting Insect Infection, In-fection, and It has to be done if the situation Is 'to Improve. Sincerely, " 'Hums Lyman |
