Ensign, secretary of th Utah State Fair association, is home from Coalville, Summit county, where he has been telling the county commissioners commis-sioners and county 'fair directors just a very little bit of what h knows about fairs county and otherwise. Mr. Ensign met with th county com- , missioners and the Summit county fair directors to discus arrangements for the fair to be held at Coalville September Sep-tember 5, A and 7, and to acquaint the fair directors with the provisions of the new law passed by the Isst legiala- i ture, which empowers county com mis- 1 sioners to levy fair tax on their as-sensed as-sensed valuation to a sum up to and including i.iOOO. t Mr. Ensign advised the commission-st era to call in about 10ii0 through tax- J ' ation for the fall fair this year, and on a total assessed valuation of $6,000,000, the pro rata will not be hard on any one. 1 "lasi.etisas are that einmmis eonnty will have a verv creditable exposition," exposi-tion," aaid Mr. Ensign this morning. We are advertising' adver-tising' for bids for the building of th new grand stand, and the plans for the new fish and gam building are just about complete.
