The, monthly report of the Copper Producers' association associ-ation for May, issued today, gives stocks of metal on hand June 1 as 185,-995.932 185,-995.932 pounds, compared with 165,-558,908 165,-558,908 pounds on May 1. Production for May was 126.9d2.54-t pounds against 11.,085,223 pounds in April. Domestic and foreign demand for May aggregated 116.552.520 pounds, aa increase of about 2,000,1X10 pounds over the previous month. Practically all of the forenoon advances were lost and many issues ruled below vesterday'a closing. United States Steel went down to HVl and the I persistent selling of this stock was considered con-sidered responsible for the development of general heaviness. Denver ft Rio Grande preferred broke further to 65, making its loss 4 points. The directors are scheduled to meet today for action on th dividend. |
