Show SOUTH COLUMBUS BOOMS. Recent reports from South Columbue Consolidated indicate that the property is almost equal in wealth to the original Columbus Consolidated. Tony Jacob-son, Jacob-son, general manager, returned yesterday yester-day from an inspection of the mine, and reported the discovery of a great ore bod v. For 150 feet the new strike was followed, fol-lowed, snd ore found in solid masses. The stuff was found near the old Alta-Quinev Alta-Quinev tunnel, and was solid all the way. Lead, silver, gold and copper in paying quantities were found in the' strike. The vein leads toward the best paying pay-ing streaks of Columbus Consolidated, and is but 2000 feet from the original contact in Alta-Quincy tuDnel. New bodies are opened up almost every dav on South Columbus Consolidated. Almost Al-most 700 tons of crude ore and concentrates concen-trates accumulated at the mine during the impaseabilitv of the roads. This ore is now being shipped to this market, the company employing twenty-eight teams to haul to the "railroad. The coal famine seriously hindering the work of other mines and camps has not greatly affected this property, as it is electrically worked. Future development develop-ment work is looked for with great interest in-terest bv all concerned, and great things are predicted for South Columbus Con-o!i(;aicd. |
