At a meeting bf the engineering class of the University yesterday, plans were adopted for a number of lectures to be given by prominent engineers. The first of the lectures will be In about two weeks. Prof. Hewitt Speaks. Prof. Edgar L Hewitt of Washington. D. C, addressed the students of the University Uni-versity yesterday afternoon. Later In the day Prof. Hewitt addressed the principals princi-pals of the public schools. Teachers' "Ghost Walks." Teachers in the public schools were paid yesterday for the half month ending January 1. The payroll amounted to $17,025. Normal Pupils Here. The pupils of the State Normal school. 160 in number, visited the Chamber of Commerce this morning. School Board Meets.
