Show GAMBLING AIMED AT IN MEEKS' BILL Representative Meeks believes that if gambling is goicg to be a crime on that statutes of the State, it should be a high-class crime, with a huge penalty pen-alty attached. Therefore, he introduced intro-duced a bill in the House to make the crime hereafter a felony. The bill states: "Section 1. Any person who shall be found gambling or frequenting a place where gambling is carried on shall be deemed guilty of a felony, and shall be punished by a fine of not exceeding ex-ceeding one thousand dollars ($1000). nor fts than three hundred dollar?
