Show NEW GAME BILL PLEASES THE HUNTERS In line with the recommendation of State Fish and Game Warden John Sharp, Representative Croft yesterday introduced a new bill on fish and game, which meets more with the sentiment of the "nimrods" than the Westphal bill, which was presented several days ago. A hearing will be held on all the game bills next Thursday evening at the House ehamber. The new bill meets with the approval of the Utah Fish and Gsme elob. The Croft bill provides for 8tate supervision su-pervision of fish and game, under the direction of a State warden, at a salary of $1800 a year, with not more thaa six chief game wardens at a salary of not more than $900 a year each. Necessary expenses are to be paid for the State warden up to $500 a year, and to the deputies up to $30 a year each. County i game wardens are abolished. Resident sportsmen are required to pay a license fee of $1, and non-resi- i dents $10. The money thus derived is to be devoted to the payment of the expenses ex-penses of the department. The law is modeled after the Idaho law, in which State there is said to be a surplus at this time of $15,000 in the fund over all expenses. |
