He ie P. R. Williams of Loa Angeles, An-geles, vice president of the Bank of America, National Trust A Savings association and president of the savings division, American Bakers' association. He lunched with Heber J. Grant, president of the L. D. 8. church, snd eonferred with Orvsi Adams, Ad-ams, executive vice president of the Utah State National bank and past president of tha American Bankers' Bank-ers' association. Mr. Williams explained hia plan, which he said la being considered by the U. S. treasury department. He said his plan, briefly, is: "Youth would aavs a penny of each dime earned, buy 10-cent government gov-ernment stamps. The government would provide 10-etamp sheets. Filled, these would be deposited as cash at a bank, the government backing the stamps. The government govern-ment Is the only agency sble to handle such a large undertaking." |
