Show OFFICIALS SCAN VATERPROJECT Parley Discusses River Diversion Plan Proposed development of the Bear river and Green river drainage baalna for supplemental water were to be dlscusssd at a meeting Friday Fri-day afternoon of officials of ths United States reclamation bureau and reclamation and engineering officials of Utah, Idaho and Wyoming. Wyo-ming. E. B. Debtor of Denver, hydraulic engineer of the bureau of reclamation, reclama-tion, and other officials arrived In Salt iMkt City Friday and conferred with T. H. Humpherys, state engineer. en-gineer. The conference will consider, Mr. Debler said, tha proposed Green river-Bear liver diversion project which would divert water from the green to the Bear liver for supplemental supple-mental water supply in- Utah and southern Idaho. At an estimated cost of t30.000.000, the project would provide aa additional addi-tional 100.000 acre feet of Irrigation Irriga-tion water. Purpose of the meeting is for ths officials to become acquainted with progress being made In Investigations Investiga-tions now under wsy in stream In which ths three states are intsrsst-sd. intsrsst-sd. Future of ths Investigations will also be discussed, Mr. Debler said. There will be a great deal of development de-velopment In the basins of the Green and Bear rivers within a few years, Mr. Dsbler said, providing a larga amount of supplemental water wa-ter and a limited supply of water for expansion Into naw arsaa. |
