Peanut Butter Crust One cup finely rolled graham cracker crumbs (about 14), 3 tablespoons ta-blespoons sugar, V teaspoon salt, cup peanut butter, cup butter, but-ter, 2 tablespoons white syrup. Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar sug-ar and salt in bowl. Cut in peanut butter and butter with pastry blender blend-er of two knives until thoroughly blended. Add syrup and mix well. Press firmly to -lnch thickness over bottom and sides of pie plate. Bake in moderately slow oven (32S degrees F.) 20 minutes. Cool before adding filling: use for lemon, banana ba-nana or chocolate filling. Makes pastry for one 9-inch pie. |
