' " There riU be no general opening date for all the mines, but a check of individual operators Friday revealed re-vealed that nearly all expect to resume re-sume work by next week. Some mines will open Saturday and others oth-ers will again atari production the first part of ths week. Others do not expect to get under way -until the end of the week. Under the terms ef the two-year contracts negotiated Thursday through district union officials snd B. P. Manlsy, executive secretary of ths Utah Coal Operators' association, asso-ciation, wages, hours and conditions condi-tions are the asms ss undsr ths old contract, but there are two major ma-jor additions. These, written at the Insistence of John L, Lswis, presidsnt of the U M-W A, provide that the union shall be the exclusivs bargaining agency and that union shop shall be in force. The operators obtained a clause which maintains' ths status que In managerial rights and privileges. Inserted as a footnote It states : "Ths amandmsnts te the enabling clause of the basic agreement, covering cov-ering negotiation of the United Mine Workers ef America do not change the rules or practices of the Industry Indus-try pertaining to management.
