Show j BOY WORK LAW j flPINIOfhffl j Lauding tht training afforded Schoolboys in the distribution of ! newspaper, the office of Attorney General Joseph Ches had prepared ! an opinion Friday to clarify the legal working hours of the young salesmen. i The opinion was written by S. D. Huffaker, assistant attorney general, gen-eral, and was submitted to William M Knerr, chairman of the-atateJ Industrial commission. Because of an apparent conflict in the law, the Industrial commission was in doubt as to whether boys over 12 years and girls over 16 years old could sell papers before e a. m. and after T p. m. The opinion held the intent of the legislature was to permit them to sell papers after 5 a. m. and before p. m. He also held that boys ever 10 years old could distribute newspapers and periodicals on fixed routes in the residential districts dis-tricts between those hours. |
