Former basketball stars at Wyoming Wyo-ming university will celebrate a homecoming in a game with the present Cowboy team in the huge Laramie gymnasium Saturday evening. eve-ning. The championship teams of 1932, 1933 and IV si will b represented, with at least four players returning from ths team that finished second in the national A. A. U. tournament in 1934. These are Lea Witte. Haskell Has-kell Leuty, John Kimbsll and Art Haman. Other ex-Cowboys expected to play include Jack McNiff. Casey Rugg. Stan Chriatenaen. Lloyd Dow-ler, Dow-ler, Joe Schwartz, Hilton and San-ford San-ford Dearinger. Claude Thomas. Wilfred Byrne. Blake Fanning. Ed Roaa and Williard (Bun) West. All played at Wyoming since W ills il-ls rd (Dutch) Witte started coaching coach-ing here. Lew Young, giant center: Johnny Winterholler, Marty Karpan and Ray Binspahr are the leading players play-ers on this season's team. |
