' .... . ilfi . i i Physicians Marshal Forces To Battle for Life of Baby . 0 Blood Donor Selected From Many Volunteers and Infusion Made at Hospital - - Medical knowledge and the willingness of man to donate his blood were marshaled at Salt Lake General hospital Thursday Thurs-day in a light to save the life of an eight-month-old child. 1 The child, James William Iverson, Iver-son, son of Corporal and Mrs. James W. Iverson, 430 Sego avenue, ave-nue, suffers from peurpra, a malady mal-ady causing internal bleeding. It was reported. Donor of tha blood was Glen T. Kerr, chairman of the blood donation dona-tion committee of the 20-30 club of Salt Lake City. The blood was taken earlier from Mr. Kerr and was transfused Into tha child Thursday afternoon. A call for blood donors went "out Thursday and met with immediate response. Among those proffering blood were five soldiers from Fort Douglas, army mates of the father, fa-ther, who now Is with the Thirty-eighth Thirty-eighth Infantry in training in Texas. |
