Show Buzzers Lure 1,114,120 in Eight Years POCATELLO, Nov. SO Salt Lake City lures th most fans tn ths Pioneer Bsseball league. It has done just that ever since the class C circuit was founded in 1919. Figures compiled by league headquarters showed Wednesday that In tha eight seasons Salt Lake City drew 1,114,120 fans. Ths loop j did not operate during part of th war period. In the eight campaigns Boise attendance at-tendance was 645.891; Twin Falls, 590,944; Ogden, 803,621; Pocatello, 501.937. AH thess clubs have been In ths circuit from ths beginning. Idaho Falls, a member each year except the first, has a total attendance at-tendance of 408.993. The Montana members Great Falls and Billing have been In for two seasons. Billings has drawn 291,953 fans and Great Falls,' 214.297. For ths one season 1939 that Lewlston was tn ths league its attendance was 81,175. The record for one season was set by Salt Lake City la 1946 at 205.861 fans. Ths Pioneer topped all class C leagues in attendance last season and only ths Florida-International outdrew It among class B leagues. In 1948 th Pioneer was runner-up to class C. |
