Low bids oa the two programs totaled S7,00t.85. Oibbona at Reed Co. submitted the low bid of U.tM en a general construction project at the airport. There was a total of fire bids submitted. Lew Lighting Bid Wasatch Electric Co. offered the low bid oa a lighting project for the east-west diagonal runway at the airport. Its bid. one of seven received, waa S17.M0.C5. The general construction project proj-ect according to Robert L. Bridge, airport manager, will include: Remodeling of the administration administra-tion building- lobby. Replacement of concrete slabs on the parking apron. Construction of a private hangar area. Completion of a fence around the airport r r - - . - Elevated Ceae Llghta '' . The present runway lights, which are flush with the ground, are to be replaced with elevated cone lights, Mr. Brldgs said. He said the present lights are difficult diffi-cult to maintain and not aa satisfactory satis-factory as the more modern lights to be installed. . Remodeling of the control tower. Including the housing of radar landing equipment, Mr. Bridge said, has been deferred pending final approval by the civil aeronautics aero-nautics administration. Tentative approval already has-been given the project he added, but the project proj-ect will be held up until formal notification of approval has been given. |
