Show Police Return Butterfield To Twin Falls Special t 01 Telegram TWIN FALLS. Ida.. Nov. SO Neale Butterfield, 1-year -old Heyburn youth accused of the hldnap-slaylng of Olenda Joyce Brtsbols of Burley, waa back in the Twin Falla county Jail Wednesday afternoon. The boy waa brought to Twin Falla Wednesday by Cassia county deputy sheriff. Darwin Oliver, following hie preliminary bearing Tuesday in Burley. It la expected he will remain In the Twin Fills Jill until time for hla district court trial. Ha la being held without balL The Heyburn youth, a high school athlete, haa signed a confession con-fession to the slaying of the little girl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charlea Briabola. Burley, Nov. IS. Following the preliminary bearing court that he bad been riding around with Butterfield the afternoon after-noon of Nov. IS, the day ot the crime, and that he had left him ahortly before the time later estab-Hahed estab-Hahed aa th hour the child waa abducted and slain. He then related that Butterfield had come to him the next day and aid he waa In trouble, that he had killed the girl and was going to run away. He asked young Lindsay Lind-say to go with him, but th latter refused. Butterfield was arrested at Olenna Ferry Nov. 18 at 1 :S0 p.m. Other witneasee told of th finding find-ing of th little girl's body In a: canal, and medical testimony was given that she had been beaten on I the head and that primary cause ! of death waa drowning. No evi-. dene waa brought out that ahe had been criminally attacked, although al-though aa autopsy report said that ah bad. Father Testifies The father of the slain girl told of her disappearance and of th finding of her body. Butterfield aat allent with hia! parents during the hearing. No defense witnesses were called. Bute's attorneys were A. H. Nielson, Cassia county prosecuting j attorney; Herman Welker, Payette, Pay-ette, and Norman H. Nielson, Burley Bur-ley city attorney. Sherman Bell-wood, Bell-wood, Rupert, represented the accused ac-cused youth at the preliminary hearing but said he had not decided decid-ed whether he will be bis attorney In th murder trial. Tuesday In Cassia county courthouse, court-house, he was given into custody of Csssla county sheriff, to be held without bail until hla trial on flrst-degre murder charge.
