Show S.L. Man Reports European Gains Great strides are being made tn the European field of medical science, sci-ence, Clarence Bamberger, Salt Lake City buainessman and an officer of-ficer in both the American Red i Cross and the Foundation for In-i In-i f until Paralysis, reported Thurs-dsy. Thurs-dsy. Mr. Bamberger and his wife just returned from a European tour through England, France, Italy and Switzerland. They left Salt Lake City in May. Because he is a member of the American National Red Cross board of governors and a trustee of the National Foundation of Infantile In-fantile Paralysis, Mr. Bamberger said he spent considerable time conferring with heads of both these international organizations In Europe. "I talked with famous medical scientists studying the polio virus and also spent much time visiting hospitals." he assorted. "Top medical experts are carrying on many research studies in England, France and Italy." Mr. Bamberger pointed out that the renowned medical researchers are learning continually about the polio virus and are "doing great things in the. realm of animals." He said their discoveries will later be tried on humans. "Both international organiza- tions are doing ail they can on the -financea they have," he continued. "They were liberal in the praise for what America is doing." He reported that England and Franc ha had quit polio epidemic. |
