Show Kaiser Ohehs Pension Plan LOS ANGELES, Oct. 6 (INS) Conclusion of an agreement between be-tween the Kaiser Steel Corp. and the CIO United Steelworkers on a company-paid penaion plan was announced Wednesday night by Charles J. Smith, union regional director. Smith said the company accepted ac-cepted the president's fact-finding committee's recommendation for a n on contributory penaion and sick benefit plan. The present contract covering the company's SaOO-employe ateel mill at near-by Fontana expires Oct. IS. The .present nstion-wide steel strike did not affect the Kaiser plant because of the difference In the contract expiration date. CIO steelworkers walked out where companies refused to pay the entire coat of the pension-benefit pension-benefit plan aa recommended by the committee. Kaiser will set aside 10 cents an hour for each employs, six cents earmarked for pensions and i four cents for the health program. |
