Show GEORGE CANNON SERVICES HELD Last rites for George M. Cannon, president of tn George M. Cannon company and prominent In the L. D. S. church, were conducted on Thursday at 1 p. m. in the Forest Dal L D. 8. ward chspel, Seventh East street and Ashton avenue. Bishop Eugene M. Cannon, a brother, broth-er, officiated. Speakers at the services were David Da-vid O. McKay, second counselor in the first presidency of the L. D. 8. church; George D. Pyper, general superintendent or the Leseret eun-day eun-day School union, and Bishop Cannon. Can-non. Special music win furnished by Virginia Freeze Barker and Wallace Wal-lace F. Bennett, vocalists, and Misa Sarah Castle at the organ. A resolution of condolence from the state senate, of which Mr. Cannon Can-non was pant president, was read by Bishop Cannon. Other resolutions resolu-tions were received by the family from the Deseret Federal Savings and Loan association, which Mr. Cannon aided In establishing; the Credential Federal Savings and T .star. suarMiat Inn and tha Dcserat Sunday School union. Nephews of Mr. Cannon were pallbearers. Timy ware Muna Q Cannon, John Stewart, John B. Cannon, Milton B. Cannon, Angus B. Cannon and Sterling B. Cannon. The Invocation was offered by Frank Y. Taylor and the benediction benedic-tion pronounced by George Q. Morris. Mor-ris. The grave In City cemetery was dedicated by Quayle Cannon. Mr. Cannon died Saturday at the family home, 730 Ashton avenue, of lingering heart ailment |
