Show TO TRAIN STUDENTS FOR WORLD'S WORK DENVER, Jan. 5. Announcement of the appointment of Miss Mary Abbott of Watertown. Conn., as chairman of the educational committee of the General Gen-eral Federation of Women's Clubs has been made by Mrs. Sarah Piatt Decker, president of the federation. The appointment ap-pointment is one of the most Important yet made by Mrs. Decker. Other members mem-bers of the committee will be deans and presidents of prominent colleges. "The work of this committee," said Mrs. Decker, "will be one of the foremost fore-most considerations of the federation. We will try to formulate plans for work with college women, with a view eventually event-ually to introducing domestic science, manual training and the like into our colleges. The idea is to fit the boys and girls more than is now done for work in the world not to educate them so much alike to give them training train-ing in the things, in other words, for which each one is specially adapted." |
