Show LEGISLATORS MUST GO TO WASHINGTON United States Marshal Heywood served subpoenas on V. S. Peet and J. H. Brady of Pocatello, and Dr. A. S. Condon and Mrs. C. E. Coulter of Og-den, Og-den, Wednesday, in the Smoot investigation. investi-gation. The last two named witnesses were members of the Legislature that elected Reed Smoot to the Senate. Marshal Heywood expects to finish the serving of subpoenas Thursday. Senator Smoot and his attorneys and Congressman Howell -will leave for Washington Thursday evening. The witnesses for the defense will probably leave Saturday. |
