It averages fourteen Inches In width and the values are undiminished. undi-minished. It is absolutely Impossible, says Mr. Reeves, to get ore hauled to the railroad at the present time, as there are no teams, and it has even been necessary to send for miners from Stateline to do the necessary assessment work in the camp, as all the Pioche miners have gone to Goldfleld and the adjoining camps. TROUBLE IN SHIPPING. The management of the Utah of Fish Springs is still having trouble In getting its cars of ore over the railroad between Oasis and the valley smelters. It takes longer to get the ore from Oasis to the smelters than to haul it In wagons from the mine to Oasis. One car finally arrived Wednesday, however, and is now being sampled and assayed. JUMBO MINE AT GOLDFIELD JUMPED Telegrams received in this city Thursday morning announce that the property of the Jumbo Mining company, com-pany, one of the largest and best developed de-veloped of the Goldfleld mines, has been jumped. The contention on which the Jumping was based is that Charley Taylor, the original locator of the Jumbo, was an alien at the time of location and therefore there-fore could not hold the ground. The Jumbo is one of the richest mines in the camp and has produced wonderfully in the short time which it has been operated. ' 1 The news has occasioned little anxiety anxie-ty among the holders of the shares of, the company here, as it is very improb- able that the Jumpers will be able to gain possession. The Jumbo was sold to ' an incorporated company, who bought It in good faith and have sold stock in the corporation, which has been bought in good faith all over the country, in auamon to mis ine mho-dates mho-dates of Taylor In the original location , were American citizens and the transfer trans-fer of their shares will undoubtedly hold good. The claims are all carefully surveyed e nd staked, and as for assessment work the company has done $300,000 worth of work on the property during the past ytar. There is no other loophole j through which the jumpers could crawl, and it is not believed that their (intention will stand, as the Jumbo company has possession at , present, which, according to the old saying, is nine points of the law. Also there is an association in Goldfleld, about which not much is said, for the protection of the owners of property in the district, and especially organised against Jumpers, Jump-ers, which may take action and against whom it is not healthy to run. It is thought by those In this city who are familiar with conditions at OoldfieFd that Internal dissensions in th company's household have had - auch to do with the Jumping of the property and things will probably be straightened out within a short time.
